Today a friend and I have been on the lookout for two cardboard boxes for our bikes to pack them for our flight.

Luckily we found this awesome looking shop and we were offered to take two!
Everybody was really nice and professional. 10/10 shop, had awesome bikes and cycling gear.

If you ever need quick and professional help regarding cycling, I would totally recommend to visit this shop!!

Premetto che la recensione si riferisce ad anni fa, non abitando più in quella zona. Se negli anni è cambiata gestione non lo so, ma quel che è certo è che “il gentilissimo” signore che lavorava li, se non avevi comprato la bicicletta da lui nemmeno ti aiutava.
E questo ad un ragazzino di 13 anni che era rimasto a piedi sulla pista ciclabile li davanti. Stava senza far nulla ma piuttosto che aiutare ha preferito farsi odiare. COMPLIMENTI.

I'm from Guatemala, and during my trip to Italy, I had the goal of buying an Italian cycling kit. When I arrived at the store, a man stopped me at the entrance and told me they couldn’t assist me until 3 p.m. I decided to go to a café and wait for an hour. When I came back, I saw the same man outside the store, smoking with another employee. I asked if they could help me now, and with a very arrogant and rude attitude, he said they wouldn’t start attending customers until 3:30 p.m.
I felt really upset. Even though I was only looking to buy a cycling uniform, not a bike, I’m still a customer and deserve a bit of respect. I simply replied “ok,” turned around, and decided never to return.
I’m sharing this review so others know about my experience and can avoid visiting this store.

We were looking for a bike cardboard box for our flights from Rome back home and called the shop. They not only had one for free but also gave us a contact for another bike shop where we got one the same day. Very thankful for the kind people in this place.

Getting hold of bicycle boxes in Rome to send your bikes home is a major chore (especially since most new bikes come in boxes from the factory, yet hardly any bike shops have them - a matter of space, so the need to offload them as soon as the bike is unpacked), and they aren't available at the airport!! So praise is due for Christiane (spelling?) of Bike and Ride Roma for hanging onto a couple for us.

If you need boxes and he has them, please take the advice below :
Call several days before you need boxes, to line up with his deliveries,
be reliable in turning up, as arranged, to collect,
bring your own knife/scissors to open fully,
bring your own strong cord or tape to tie them (after you've flattened them and folded in half - full size is too awkward to carry and fit in buses),
be willing to find a bin to dispose of whatever residual materials are inside,
and thank him profusely for making getting your bike home much easier, maybe put some business his way.

He doesn't charge for them yet should!

Lunedì mattina, mentre pedalo per andare al lavoro, mi accorgo di avere la ruota bucata. Dopo aver camminato per un po' alla ricerca di un posto dove sistemarla, per caso trovo Bike&Ride. Devo dire che sono rimasta da vero soddisfatta: sono professionali, gentili e i prezzi sono ottimi. Un'ottima esperienza, consiglio vivamente!
