We had a great experience with Barbagia Rent E-Bike. But let me be more precise:

The bikes were well-maintained, dialed and capable of handling rough terrain.

Gianni was very friendly, competent and helpful. Prior to our visit, he took time to plan a route for us based on our input.

We were also provided with a Garmin GPS which had our route preloaded without additional charge.

The price of 55€ for one bike / full day was perfectly justified.

Some other small notes:
- We were provided with an air pump, but not with a repair kit for flat tires. We didn't ask for it either, though, so no big deal!
- The telescopic seatpost on one of the bikes could have been dialed in better. My partner (65kg) had issues to bring it down with her full weight. No big deal either!
- The helmets are adjustable uni-size helmets. My partner has a relatively small head circumference which led to the helmet being a somewhat lose on the smallest adjustment. When putting a cap on her head first, it worked out well, though. It might be good to have some smaller helmets in the repertoire nevertheless.
- Regarding the area surrounding Gavoi, it is beautiful but you must know that there are no official / rated bike trails. And sometimes there is a lack of connecting trails so you will probably have to spend a significant amount on paved roads. Lago di Gusana lacks a connection at the dam to get to the other side, so if your route is based around it, you will have to take the same way back for a few kilometers. Maybe these "issues" were just a result of what we have communicated to Gianni prior to our trip. Next time, we would try to either take the bikes to another starting point by car OR plan a longer route that allows to prevent using the same trails on the way back and uses less paved roads.

And just to make clear; we think Gianni planned the best possible route based on the information we gave him prior to our trip.

A great experience with a very friendly and helpful approach!

We had a really positive experience with Barbagia Rent eBike. Everything was clearly explained to us before the ride, we received all the necessary information about the route, and the e-bikes were fully charged and ready to go.

We chose the route around the lake, which unfortunately is quite dry in August, but the trip is still definitely worth it. Be prepared, though – this is not a typical easy bike path. Parts of the route take you through real natural terrain, sometimes between trees, tree stumps and rocks, so expect a bit of adventure along the way.

But that is exactly what makes the ride so enjoyable and memorable. Beautiful nature, e-bikes and a little bit of adrenaline made it a fantastic experience that was absolutely worth it.

We can definitely recommend Barbagia Rent eBike! 🚲🌿

I had an amazing experience with Barbagia E Bikes! I chose the Barbagia tour, which was definitely challenging in places, but it was also incredibly fun and one of the best ways to experience this beautiful region.

Gianni was extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful from start to finish. The e-bike was excellent, and he had thoughtfully pre-programmed a GPS route to keep me on track. He also provided a detailed printed itinerary with recommendations for places to visit, things to see, and great local restaurants along the way, which made the day even more enjoyable.

The scenery throughout Barbagia was absolutely stunning, and exploring the area by e-bike allowed me to experience it at my own pace. I highly recommend Barbagia E Bikes to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable way to discover this beautiful part of Sardinia. Thank you, Gianni, for a fantastic day!

La nostra esperienza con Barbagia Rent è stata davvero indimenticabile! Cercavamo un noleggio bici in Sardegna che ci permettesse di scoprire l’entroterra, e con Gianni abbiamo trovato molto di più: una guida preziosa e un servizio impeccabile.

Gianni è stato professionalissimo e disponibilissimo fin dal primo momento: ci ha accolto con grande gentilezza e ci ha fornito bici performanti, comode e perfettamente mantenute, ideali per affrontare un tour di più tappe. Ma il vero valore aggiunto è stato il roadbook personalizzato che ha creato per noi: senza il suo aiuto non saremmo mai riusciti a organizzare un itinerario così ricco e ben strutturato.

Il tour è stato semplicemente meraviglioso: siamo partiti da Gavoi, abbiamo attraversato Ololai, raggiunto Mamoiada e poi Orgosolo, con i suoi famosi murales che raccontano storie di vita e cultura. Da lì siamo saliti fino a Fonni, il paese più alto della Sardegna, per poi vivere l’emozione unica del borgo fantasma di Pratobello. Abbiamo proseguito fino a Lodine, un piccolo gioiello autentico, e infine siamo rientrati con il cuore pieno di emozioni. Volendo, avremmo potuto spingerci anche fino al Lago di Gusana, che resta lì vicino come ulteriore meraviglia da scoprire.

Grazie a Gianni abbiamo vissuto una giornata di sport, natura e tradizione che ci ha lasciato senza parole. Consigliamo vivamente Barbagia Rent a chiunque voglia noleggiare bici in Sardegna e scoprire la Barbagia in tutta la sua autenticità: un servizio eccellente che trasforma una semplice pedalata in un’avventura indimenticabile.

Abbiamo noleggiato le bici da Barbagia Rent durante la nostra vacanza in Sardegna e non potevamo fare scelta migliore! 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️

Gianni è stato semplicemente straordinario: disponibilissimo, gentile e super professionale. Ci ha preparato un roadbook dettagliato con tutte le tappe del nostro tour, un supporto che ha reso il viaggio davvero unico e che da soli non avremmo mai saputo organizzare così bene.

Ho noleggiato due bici elettriche con pochissimo preavviso (ho chiamato il giorno prima) e tutto è andato alla perfezione. Le bici sono moderne, ben curate e sicure, niente a che vedere con certi noleggi che ti rifilano mezzi malandati o con problemi.

Il giro è stato semplicemente meraviglioso: ho attraversato paesaggi spettacolari nel cuore della Barbagia, costeggiando il lago di Gusana e fiumi, con tappe in villaggi nuragici e scorci panoramici davvero mozzafiato.

Credo che visitare questi posti con l’e-bike sia la soluzione ideale per chi vuole godersi la natura senza essere un ciclista allenato. puoi regolare lo sforzo a tuo piacimento, dall’assistenza completa a quella minima.

Super consigliato, sia per la qualità del servizio, che per la professionalità e disponibilità del titolare Gianni.
