Our sell guided tour from Costa Smeralda to Alghero was fabulous. The route chosen avoided where possible main roads, so it felt safe and enjoyable. The countryside changes were dramatic from beautiful bays and beaches to rocky lunar like valleys through to vineyards and agriculture. The accommodation was excellent and our luggage transfer seamless. The bikes were wonderful and Mauro was available if we needed him, which we didn't. Riding into Castelsardo was spectacular. We can highly recommend BTS.

We had an exceptionally scenic trip from Alghero to Cagliari Sardinia! We cruised by olive groves, cork trees, vineyards, Roman ruins, and 3500 year old Nuragic ruins! Beautiful sunsets and seascapes, narrow village streets and gelato were a daily treat. All the hotels were stellar and the food memorable! Thanks so much to Bike Tour Sardinia!

My husband and I just returned from an amazing custom multi-active tour on the west coast of Sardinia. Cannot say enough about how well organized Mauro and Nicola were, and how they truly went out of their way to give us an exceptional holiday. From initial contact to the end of our tour they were in touch, and even when we had a glitch in otherwise spectacular accommodations, they when above and beyond to get things reorganized. Excellent biking routes, such interesting local kayak and hiking guides and the booklet suggested some incredible restaurants. So glad we finally made it to Sardinia and went with Bike Tour Sardinia. We are already looking at another tour with them. Would not hesitate to recommend.

This was a well planned custom tour. We rode from Alghero to Pula over 17 days. Our hotels were first class, the good was great. Mauro did a great job of minimizing riding on busy roads. We liked having some 2 night stays mixed within the tour. Really enjoyed the ruins along the way and swam in the Sea (I am not a water person, so this was a big deal). The daily mileage was rewarding but not excessive. The new Scott e-bikes performed flawlessly. I highly recommend Sardinia Bike tours. They immediately responded to our questions/concerns when enroute and we felt well cared for. Thank you! It was a wonderful trip!

WOW!!! Randonnée de vélo dans le Piedmont, Italie - septembre 2025.
Pour ma part c’était ma première expérience de voyage à vélo et je n’ai pas été déçue. Nos guides, forts sympathiques, nous ont bien accompagné, très bon choix d’hôtels et de restaurants, nous avons mangé comme des rois. Les paysages de cette région sont grandioses des vignes à perte de vue, les trajets bien choisi dans des petites routes charmantes et tranquilles. Je vous les recommande sans hésitation! 🫶

My family and I just got done with a dream bike vacation with BTS. They helped us set up a customized route on the west and southwest coast of Sardinia. All of the lodging they arranged for us was top notch. It was exciting to bike all day and see what the next great boutique hotel or villa would bring. We rented bikes from BTS and they were very sufficient for our needs. We brought our Thule kid stroller and Mauro was helpful in making sure that would attach correctly with their bikes both before we flew across the Atlantic and during our bike fitting in Oristano. When we had a flat on the odd sized kid stroller tire half way though,
BTS was very helpful in tracking down the correct size tube in a rural location allowing us no lost time on our route. Overall I thought the company was easy to work with and provided a great product and backed it up with great service. We will be back again someday to bike with BTS!

We just finished a great self-guided trip organized by BTS. The provided bikes worked great. All the lodging arrangements were super nice. Having our bags transferred each day made the trip so easy. Nicola and Mauro gave us a detailed briefing and provided an explanation and an informative printed guide before we started our trip. We were able to communicate via What’s App throughout our trip and always got a quick response. I would highly recommend Bike Tour Sardinia.

We had an absolutely wonderful time during our bike tour in Sardinia!

The bikes were fantastic and made the journey so much fun. Although mine broke at one point, the replacement process was swift and efficient, which I greatly appreciated. The hotels were all fabulous, and having a pool at the end of the day was the perfect way to relax and unwind.

A special mention must go to Stefano, who was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire trip. Their expertise and friendly demeanor truly enhanced our experience.

Thank you for organizing such an amazing tour. We are already looking forward to our next adventure with you!

Bike Tour Sardinia did a first rate job facilitating our tour in Sardinia. They provided the routes, booked our lodging, had our luggage transported, and advised us on points of interest and dining. We hope to return and if so will definitely seek their services.
We enjoyed meeting Nicola. We immediately felt welcomed.
The time of year turned out to have been the perfect time to visit Sardinia. The spring blossoms were both beautiful and wonderfully fragrant.
The views of the sea, the cliffs, the beaches and the hills laden with vegetation were breathtaking.
Most of the road conditions ranged from good to excellent. Motor traffic was minimal and respectful.
We really enjoyed the bit of unpaved road; the scenery was wonderful, the surface well maintained, there was no other traffic.
Our accommodations met and often exceeded our needs. The staff at every hotel were very welcoming and attentive.
We used the information in the booklet provided by Bike Tour Sardinia to find interesting places to explore as well as restaurants.
We were delightedly surprised by Santu Lussurgio. It is a beautiful village and we wish we had spent an extra day there. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Antica Dimora del Gruccione.
We do hope to return to Sardinia and we will be in touch when we do.

It was all so fun-the ride through the island, the cooking classes, the wine tasting and the food itself was incredible. The guides Enrico and Nicolo were very knowledgeable on the island and they were very safety conscious. After this great experience, I’m thinking about either Sicily or Puglia.

Usually booked a one week guided tour starting on 1 June 2025. The support accommodation and food supplied was fantastic. I went with my friend Ron who I’ve traveled several times overseas on bike to us and he also enjoyed the trip. We shared the trip with four Americans who were fantastic company. I think biking Sardinia for this fantastic experience and would recommend it for anyone.

Ron and myself then undertook for the first time ever a non-guided trip starting two days after the end of the first guided trip. The organization here was also well managed. Lakić pick up was spot on, and the accommodation generally was very good.

Bad weather started us on the first day. 35f windchill with blinding 40+mph wind. Not the tour guys fault for sure but an awful start. The hotels were lots fancier than we really wanted but very nice and ALL of the 7?8? hotel folks were super helpful even when we arrived at the first one soaking wet and shaking from the chill. Unfortunately our luggage had been missed but arrived a couple of hours later after the hotel called and asked where it was. We would have liked a rest day in the middle of the tour to recuperate a bit from the first few days of bad weather. My son's bike was ok, but not in that great of shape as he had to stay in one set of gears or the chain came off. My ebike worked well after I got used to it except on some of the VERY bumpy gravel trails. The electrical would turn off at the most inopportune times. Turn it back on and all was good after a few seconds of startup. The battery lasted pretty well even against 40mph headwinds for two days. My sons bike failed about 20km from our last hotel with a front hub bearing problem that we did our best to get around. It increased the amount of energy needed to push the bike by about 30%...but he pushed through it to the last hotel. The tour gps maps were pretty darn good at trying to keep us off of busy back roads and then routing us on to one lane back country roads where you saw lots of "in the country" places up close. I thought the actual tour was excellent especially when going from the Mediterrainean sea to the Adriatic sea in one day. Oh, we paid for that one with 15% inclines or better against 30mph headwinds for ~2 km. All in all a trip that will entertain the grandsons and friends for a long time. I only did 4 stars because of the cost and bike problems. Cheers

This self-guided trip was 10 out of 10
The roads selected were amazing. The level of effort we are hoping for was just right, and the accommodation set up for us in advance was charming and super enjoyable. I look forward to booking another trip with BTS in the future and hopefully sooner than later.

Amazing trip had by all. The landscape, rides routes, food recommendations and hotels were all perfect. Mauro and his team listened to our needs and delivered exactly what we hoped to have for our Sardegna bike trip. The bikes were in excellent condition,, GPS guidance system, and luggage transfers were seamless. It was amazing. Beautiful country with beautiful people. We will return to sardegna and certainly do another ride trip with Mauro and his team in a new part of Italy. Mille Grazie!!!

Wow! We had an amazing trip! (Sardinia/Gourmet) Mauro and Stefano were fantastic guides and wonderful travelling companions. The riding was great, the scenery was gorgeous, the food was delightful. Everyday we had a great ride and a food- related activity such as wine tasting, olive oil tasting, ricotta-making demonstration, and two cooking classes. The food was fabulous. We had a small fun group. I highly recommend BTS. I will try to update this review with photos but I have hundreds to choose from. Buona Pedalata!

We really appreciated Mauro and his team’s attention to detail. Mauro was extremely flexible and worked with us to design a trip for us that included hiking and kayaking. The guides that joined us were excellent. It was clear how much they loved Sardinia and were very knowledgeable about the history, flora and fauna of the region. It was quite windy while we were there and when one of our kayak sessions had to be canceled the guide reached out and arranged an alternative hiking trip that was really excellent.

The bikes we were provided were well maintained. Mauro took the time to check each one, adjusted the height, and showed us the ins and outs of each bike- we had two electric and two standard bikes. Each bike had a handlebar bag and we were given a pannier, which was plenty for what we needed to carry. Mauro brought helmets, a bike pump, and spd pedals. Each handlebar bag had a repair kit and multi tool. The bikes also had a phone mount.

We were very happy with the hotels we stayed in. They were excellent and all the people we met were very friendly and helpful. An example of this is on one day we got caught in a downpour and showed up early at the hotel cold and dripping wet. The rooms weren’t quite ready, but the front desk clerk made each of us a hot cappuccino to drink while we waited and checked us in as soon as he could.

Mauro provided a booklet for our trip that described the routes, history and points of interest we would pass through, and stay at. It also listed restaurants, which was really helpful. The restaurant recommendations were excellent. We learned quickly to have the front desk call one of the restaurant and make reservations. They booked quickly.

The routes we took were really beautiful. There was some traffic on the routes, but all the cars passed safely.

Although we’d learned a few phrases in Italian we found that most people we met spoke some English and at the hotels - excellent English.

Overall our trip was excellent. Anytime we had questions or concerns Mauro responded quickly to our messages and kept in touch with us regularly throughout the trip. We were very happy with their service and will definitely book with them again if we go to any of the other countries they handle.

What an amazing experience!
From the trip booking to the last day of the tour, the communication with Mauro was amazing!
Excellent accommodations during the whole week. Great group of fun people! The cooking classes, wine and olive oil tasting were also amazing.
The bicycles were top notch and I have not had a single technical issue during the week.
And on top of everything, an extraordinary guide (Lieven) and a fabulous driver (Carlo) made this experience so much more enjoyable.
I totally recommend BTS and cannot wait for our next tour.
