Laurie (the owner) was super nice and helpful.
We renter 5 bikes for a wonderful ride around Lucca.
They were all well maintained and worked perfectly and we were given helpful instructions, locks for when we stopped around town and even a pair of helmets for my daughters just to make me feel good.
Laurie has a lot of knowledge and even helped us and recommended a restaurant for dinner after we returned the bikes.

They helped me rent a decent road bike on the same day another provider in the area had let me down. Good service to get the rental bike fitted appropriately and friendly in doing so.

We rented 5 bikes for a couple of hours and rode around the town and on top of the wall. Very good service and really nice to talk to and we got a lot of great suggestions for our stay in Lucca. Really recommend!

Laurie the owner is such a wealth of information! Very gregarious and she has the best iconic bike shop in Lucca.
Easy to get to with plenty of parking nearby. A must to see if you are going to Lucca or any of the nearby villages.

Stopped in Amici Bici at end of ride while on a cycling trip in Italy. Ended up staying for much longer than expected chatting with owner, who is also from the states, about all things cycling and life in Lucca. She was even kind enough to share some gpx files of local routes. Also bought several nice jerseys at great prices Thanks Laurie! If you are a cyclist and in Lucca, definitely worth a visit.

Awesome place to rent bikes in Lucca! The bikes were great and the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a chance to meet the owner who gave us a little history of the shop and made us feel welcome. Could not recommend this place more, will definitely be coming back.

Laurie, the owner of La Toscana Nel Cuore is knowledgeable, honest and amazing friendly. She located two great Bianchi bikes from another bike store and negotiated a great price for my husband and myself. She then made so minor repairs and always made sure to find great parts and great prices for us. She then helped me learn how the change a flat. If you're in need for a hourly rental, the best gear in Lucca or to purchase a new or used road or mountain bike look no further! Best place in Lucca hands down!!!

BEST BIKE SHOP IN LUCCA!! Rented Wilier team GT bike from Laurie. Amazing bike and amazing service, Mauro took us a nice group ride and it really made my holiday.
Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to rent a bike and go on amazing rides! 10/10

Rent your bikes here! The owner is amazing, so kind. And she has cute fluffy dogs 😁 she told us alot about Lucca, gave us a map and the bikes are also nice to ride. Price is also good.

Excellent and friendly service. Can work with you in English or Italian. Very flexible and friendly. I rented the Willier cento 10 and it was a great bike. Location is perfect, in Lucca walls but on the outside near any of the entrances. I would 100% use them again. Also very fairly priced.

Great local bike shop where you can rent anything from city cruisers to high end road bikes. Our big group of 15 ranging from ages 8-70 was handled with ease. If you are lucky like we were you may see a pro rider dropping in the shop as well.

Accueil super chaleureux par Laurie, une Américaine passionnée de vélo. On a pu louer des vélos de super qualité et faire un tour guidé d'environ 4h dans la campagne autour de Lucca ( Montecarlo, Collodi etc..). Excellente adresse qui propose des prestations de qualité pour qui veut sortir des locations touristiques. Merci Amici bici!

Whether you speak English or Italian, if you need to buy, rent or repair a bike, this is THE BEST place to go. Mauro and Laurie are both avid cyclists who have been racers and hobby riders, so they know everything about their craft. Mauro is a top-notch mechanic. But even better, they are two of most simpatici e gentili persons you can hope to meet. We have rented and purchased bikes and bike equipment from them, and they are so helpful and friendly. They are there to give you the best advice and will not try to sell you something you don't need. 5-stars++

If you need a legit bike shop to outfit you for hitting the flats or hills around Lucca, this is the only bike shop in Lucca to trust.
You can rent cruisers as well, but any cycling enthusiast that passes through Lucca needs to stop here. Laurie and Mauro are super friendly, knowledgeable and trustworthy.
I go nowhere, but here when in town for all biking needs or just to talk shop w Laurie over an espresso. :)
