My wife and I rented some electric bikes here and the experience was amazing! Nicola was so nice and helpful. We originally just wanted to go to Siena and back but weren’t sure how to get there safely. Nicola not only showed us how to get there, he mapped out a scenic route that provided us with some stunning views. I would definitely recommend an electric bike if you aren’t an experienced cyclist though. The hills of Siena are very steep and our route took us on some fairly rough dirt roads. But even without a ton of cycling experience, my wife and I were able to power through a 35 kilometer route with plenty of time to stop and explore Siena. 10/10, 5 stars, 2 thumbs up!

I booked a fairly last minute e-bike rental with this company in November and was so glad I did! A staff person met us in the morning to make sure we were all set up and had everything we needed, and provided us with a detailed, scenic route to take through the countryside. The route was absolutely stunning, and we were grateful for the e-bikes to help us through the challenging and hilly terrain. Biking was so much more relaxing than driving around, and allowed us to take our time, pause and enjoy the scenery at various points. I appreciated how easy it was to communicate with the rental shop as well and how responsive they were. I would absolutely recommend this company and experience!

We took a guided e-bike tour in the morning, visiting the Castello di Brolio and Castello di Cacchiano. Would definitely recommend!

Bikes were in top condition, and the guide adjusted his speed accordingly, stopped sometimes for the landscape & pictures, and gave information about the history and families of the region.

Tour fantastico! Grazie Nicola!
We did a guided e-bike tour to Castel Brolio and through the Chianti region, with lunch and wine tasting at the Vallepiccolia winery. Nicola was a great guide and led us off the main roads through beautiful landscapes. All in all, it was a truly wonderful tour and we would definitely do again!

Great Bicycle Shop with Great Owner, Nicola. I rented a gravel bike from the shop for two days. Nicola had the bike ready to go when I picked it up. He adjusted the saddle height to perfection. Nicola worked with me so that I could pick up the bike right before he closed the shop so I was able to get my first ride in Italy, early the next morning. The bike was perfectly tuned. Nicola had a saddle bag attached with a spare tube, 2 tire levers, and a frame pump. Thankfully didn’t need them. I was able to get two morning rides in, in addition to spending time with my family and attend my son’s wedding. I will definitely use this bike shop again when I return. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Ho noleggiato una Garvel-Bike per un intero giorno e sono stato accontentato in pieno da Nicola che oltre ad essere super disponibile e flessibile in quanto a orari di ritiro e riconsegna, mi ha consigliato anche percorsi interessanti da raggiungere facendomi risparmiare tempo e permettendomi di vivere una gran bella giornata a suon di pedalate tra i paesaggi delle colline senesi .

L’un de nos 2 flyers est tombé en panne en plein milieu de la campagne. Nous avons contacté Chianti bike life qui était le concessionnaire le plus proche.
Il ne semblait pas y avoir de solution, mais notre Mac Gyver (selon ses termes) a réussi une réparation de fortune qui nous a permis de poursuivre nos vacances. Et pour un tarif raisonnable. Merci encore.

My wife and I loved our castles and vineyards e-bike tour with Nico! The mountain e-bikes were very nice and worked perfectly. Nico explained several interesting things about the local wine companies and their families, the Eroica bike race, and several castles! The e-bike assist allowed us to find our perfect level of exercise and allowed us to see and experience Tuscany in a different way than you can with a car, regular bike, or Vespa. Would definitely recommend to others.

Best experience my husband and I had in Italy! We did the guided tour starting at our hotel near Siena and went to a wine tasting towards the end - multiple options are offered depending on what you wanna do. Nicola was very informative, he had multiple places picked out for pictures and took the pics for us, also let us know we could ask to stop at any point for rest or pictures, and to top it off he was the nicest person!! We will definitely be doing this again!

Chianti bike life was a perfect find for renting really great gravel and mountain bikes for the whole family to bike the beautiful hillside of Tuscany! The owners were very helpful and dropped the bikes right at our lodging in Bossi, providing everything we needed, including some suggested loops. We can’t wait to come back for another ride through Tuscany and most highly recommend Chianti bike life for rentals!

Fazer esse tour com a família foi realmente o ponto alto da nossa viagem pela Toscana. O guia Nicola foi excepcional, cuidou do início ao fim para que tivéssemos a melhor experiência possível. Nos levou aos melhores lugares, paisagens incríveis, organizou uma degustação de última hora em uma belíssima vinícola da região. As bicicletas super confortáveis, novinhas, todas elétricas, permitiu que pudéssemos curtir o momento sem nos preocupar com esforço físico para subir as colinas. Bem no final houve uma chuva muito forte e Nico e sua família cuidaram para que retornássemos em segurança para o local de origem. Passeio fantástico! Já estamos com saudades e com gostinho de quero mais. Voltaremos mais vezes, com certeza! A presto Nico!

Every year we bike around Tuscany for a few months — one of us for the past 50 years (a professor at the U. of Siena), one of us for the past 30 years.

So we REALLY appreciate a local bike store that offers great service! Nicola knows bikes — and how to get them back on the road.

Ogni anno andiamo in giro per la Toscana in bicicletta per qualche mese: uno di noi da 50 anni (è professore all'Università di Siena), l'altro da 30.

Quindi apprezziamo MOLTO un negozio di biciclette locale che offre un servizio eccellente! Nicola se ne intende di biciclette e sa come rimetterle in strada.

Nicola was a wonderful host with knowledge of the area! The trip was spectacular and Nicola made sure we were all safe and having a true Tuscany experience. We stopped for coffee at a charming cafe mid way and we ended at a delightful restaurant for lunch. The bikes and helmets were in impeccable condition! Water was provided and Nicola took time to very clearly explain how to use each bike. I would highly recommend you booking with Chianti Bike Life!!! Thank you Nicola!
