Voglio condividere la splendida esperienza vissuta lo scorso 20 dicembre in occasione dell’Open Day.
Siamo partiti la sera prima da Torino. Il mio compagno sta aprendo un’attività di riparazione e creazione bici, mentre io sto approcciando questo mondo con curiosità ed entusiasmo, partendo da una totale inesperienza.

La visita è stata organizzata con cura, la qualità e l’attenzione alla creazione dei prodotti è stata ben visibile.

Ma ciò che da completa neofita mi ha colpito ed emozionato, è stata la grandissima dedizione e passione nel raccontare il proprio lavoro e soffermarsi sui processi produttivi. La disponibilità a rispondere alle curiosità, mostrando grande dedizione anche dopo 40 anni di lavoro!

Vogliamo davvero ringraziare Antonio (spero di ricordare correttamente il suo nome) che ci ha mostrato il suo mestiere di artigiano con gli occhi che brillavano!
Questo direi che è un parametro prezioso di quello che è l’artigianato italiano.

Grazie di cuore per questa splendida esperienza!
Speriamo di poter tornare presto e continuare ad imparare!

Grazie all'open day ho vissuto un paio d'ore magnifiche: visita guidata all'officina e incontro coi dipendenti. I loro occhi felici e le rapide risposte alle curiosità dei visitatori hanno trasmesso tutta la loro passione per il lavoro che fanno. Il risultato? Dei capolavori di tecnica e manualità, telai da ammirare come ogni vera opera d'arte.
Grazie, da marosticense é bello vedere che nel proprio territorio esistono realtà come l'officina Battaglin.

Bellissima officina paragonabile alla "Maranello" delle bici dove ogni pezzo e ogni particolare costruito a mano non lascia nulla al caso.

Ho avuto l'occasione di visitare sia la showroom che il processo di produzione vero e proprio. Nella showroom ho potuto apprezzare dei veri e propri gioielli che vengono prodotti praticamente un piano di sotto. Nell'impianto produttivo mi sono reso conto di quanta dedizione venga messa per ogni bici che producono, e di quanto sia unico ogni esemplare grazie alle infinite opzioni di personalizzazione. Si può apprezzare realmente l'artigianato e il made in Italy nella loro massima espressione. Infine, tutto il personale è stato veramente cordiale e a completa disposizione degli ospiti. In qualsiasi domanda hanno mostrato professionalità e serietà nel loro ruolo, dalle ragazze dell'accoglienza fino al verniciatore e il saldatore.
È stato veramente arricchente e qual'ora c'è ne sia la possibilità tornerei sicuramente.

Sabato scorso sono stato in visita da voi, sia in officina che presso lo show room. Bella esperienza. La parte officina è quella che mi ha emozionato di più , essendo un uomo da officina anche se da qualche anno lavoro in ufficio tecnico. Grazie di tutto e del rinfresco !!!!

Sono stato all'open day e dopo molti anni da acquirente di due biciclette in alluminio ancora marchiate Battaglin sono entrato con molta curiosità a visitare le OFFICINE BATTAGLIN con un grande entusiasmo! Sono rimasto letteralmente a bocca aperta nel trovarmi di fronte ha dei veri gioielli di biciclette che solo guardandole ti mettevano una gran voglia di partire e affrontare il paesaggio circostante! Abbiamo visitato lo stabilimento partendo dalla progettazione per finire fino alla bicicletta finita e scoprendo che tutto viene creato all'interno e quindi un vero prodotto made in Italy, cosa che oggi giorno è veramente difficile trovare anche da altri marchi molto importanti.
Cosa dire, ora cominciamo a risparmiare e speriamo di poter diventare parte della vostra famiglia! Grazie mille per la belle esperienza e per l'accoglienza avuta!!!

Ho avuto il piacere di visitare il sito di produzione di questi fantastici gioielli di tecnica e artigianato.
Non trovo nessun punto sfavorevole,nemmeno i prezzi che a primo impatto sembrano alti.
Ma quando vedi come le producono,l'amore e la passione che ci mettono,non si può dire niente

Quando puoi vedere chi mette il cuore per realizzare i suoi sogni un po' di curiosita c'e' e...devo dire di essere stato soddisfatto per aver seguito passo dopo passo tutta la presentazione fatta. Si respira passione, amore, sacrificio e tanta tanta professionalita'.

I just can't speak highly enough about the experience I had with Battaglin Cycles and Alex Battaglin specifically. I initially submitted an online form expressing interest in the Matera and to my great delight and surprise, Alex called me directly to find out what I was looking for in the bike!! Amazing.

From start to delivery, the process could NOT have gone better.

They answered every question I threw at them with grace and professionalism.

Once I received the bike, it has already exceeded my sky high expectations. It is the perfect bike for me. Phenomanal handling on all surfaces, comfortable ride from the Columbus steel frame and the bike feels like it was made exactly for me. It's like I've been riding it for years, when it's only been a few days.

Do yourself a favor, if you're in the market for a new gravel or road bike, take a very close look at Battaglin and DON'T discount a steel frame. Battaglin is making a fantastic product and in my mind, one of the very best bikes for your money that's out there today.

For years I've been saving towards a "dream bike", with the specific bike rotating as the major brands roll out a new flagship model each year. I happened across Officina Battaglin after reading an article about their unique paint/process, and my "dreams" were quickly obsolete--it was clear that the Portofino R was my soul mate :-).

This was not merely a purchase and a review of a product--it was a process that began with a video call with the head of the company to discuss my goals, riding style, physical ability, etc., and from that moment forward, every aspect of the product and process was focused on putting me on a bicycle that perfectly aligns with my body and my performance.

Just a few of the aspects of this that blew me away:
-After submitting body measurements and some specifications of my current bike, I quickly received a detailed dimensional drawing of the proposed Portofino R, customized for my measurements.
-I was assigned a specific customer service person who created a shared cloud drive/folder that served as a "scrapbook", adding photos and videos throughout the construction of the bike. Seeing the tubing, frame welds, buffing/polishing, my serialized plate helped establish a direct connection to the bicycle and the craftsmen producing it that no other "dream bike" manufacturer can equal.
-As the bike neared completion, during one of the many video calls discussing progress, I floated the idea of flying from USA to Italy to pick up the bike, ride it up some of the famous climbs of the Giro that are a short drive from Officina Battaglin's shop. Alex and Dario went above and beyond and provided outstanding recommendations for accommodations, routes, etc.

As if the bicycle and service itself wasn't amazing enough, the week I spent picking it up and riding it in the region where it was born took my delight to an even higher level. I was given a personal tour of the shop, met and made personal connections to the people involved, and it was obvious everyone is passionate and committed to the craft. I even got to meet the legendary Giovanni Battaglin, who was personally involved in the design of my bike.

There just aren't enough stars that I can leave on this review. The bike is amazing. The process was amazing. The experience of the maiden ride climbing Monte Grappa, followed the next day by two ascents of the Stelvio Pass, is beyond amazing. This is a bike and an experience I will cherish for the rest of my life.

Jan 2024 update - la mia amante and I now have un bambino, just picked up a Grand Tour and rode a grand fondo through Asagio for the first ride. Another amazing bicycle, and it's also a great value having skipped a few of the luxuries adorning my Portofino R. Vecchia scuola mechanical Campagnolo Super Record, il bambino is pure Italian, Veneto region, the soul of cycling.

2021 I was looking for my dream bike and after an intense research in magazines and internet I discovered Officina Battaglin.
At the beginning buying a customized bike via internet seemed strange to me.
But after sending my body measures and the first video conference with Alex it started to be a big adventure.
Alex and his team supported me by getting the right decision regarding color, components, special painting options and at the end we (my wife and me) were invited to pick up the bike at Officina Battaglin in Marostica.
Meeting Alex, his father the famous bike racer and his team was also a big adventure. The first trips were great and demanded even more and higher passes to climb with my dream bike.
This year my wife also fell in love with the bikes - Fenix a fantastic customized e-bike by Officina Battaglin and next year we will start together climbing the first mountains together.
If you love biking and have the chance riding a bike from Officina Battaglin you will never !!! change it for an other one.

The smoothest and the most beautiful bike I have ever ridden! I didn’t have to wait long for it too and everything was communicated well with weekly updates and photos of the build. Alex was kind to have calls to sort me out if I have more things to add or change. Overall, a very pleasent experience.

Bike rides like a magic carpet. Smooth and hardly feel any bumps on the road. I did a speed test and managed to better my personal FTP no joke! Anyway keeping with with the rest of the race bikes on Sunday was a bliss and at times I was ahead pulling the pack 😂

I am writing this review to share my extremely disappointing experience with the purchase of a custom-built Officina Battaglin Portofino 2023 Produzione Limitata No54di99.

Key Issues:

Poor Build Quality: Upon delivery on 01/12/23, the bike had multiple defects, including chips, dents, poor chroming, and inconsistent paintwork. An independent assessment confirmed these were due to poor manufacturing.
Lack of Communication: Despite numerous attempts to contact the company and promises of follow-up, I have received no satisfactory resolution. Emails and messages have gone unanswered, and promised calls have not been made.
False Promises: I have been repeatedly assured that my concerns would be addressed, but months later, there has been no action taken. This lack of customer support is unacceptable for a high-end custom-built product.
Details of the Defects:

Chip in the top head tube lug
Excess silver on the lug line
Defects in chroming
Large indentations and warping
Inconsistent masking and paint
Multiple dents and scratches
Inconsistent alignment and spacing
The independent report clearly states that these issues are due to poor manufacturing and cannot be easily repaired without compromising the frame's integrity.

Conclusion:
I expected much more from a reputed brand like Officina Battaglin. The combination of subpar quality and inadequate customer service has been incredibly frustrating. I have reached out numerous times and have been met with silence or false promises. Despite my efforts to resolve this amicably, the company has left me with no choice but to share my experience publicly.

I hope this review helps others avoid the same disappointing experience I have had. Potential buyers should be cautious and reconsider their choice.
