Had a lovely experience on the Venice to Florence tour. The routes were scenic, the hotels lovely, and our luggage was waiting in our room when we arrived to the hotel each day. What a wonderful way to explore a corner of Italy.

The Discover Emilia-Romagna, the Gastronomic Heart of Italy - 8 days self guided tour was fantastic. This is first time that we get to stay 2 nights at the city's that we biked to. This gave us a great opportunity to sight-see more in the area. The food was all excellent and it was great to have recommendations on the app.

There were 8 of us and we absolutely loved the accommodations chosen by Bikeplus. The routes were generally car-free and easy to follow. The pick up of the bikes were easy and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this trip whole heartedly.

BikesPlus provided rental bikes on a recent Salzburg to Grado, Italy ride. I rode a Van Nicholas Rowtag Ti gravel bike with SRAM 1x AXS shifting. The equipment was excellent and the service first-rate. Delivery and pickup were exactly on-time, and Fabio did an excellent job tweaking our bikes and getting us set up for the tour. I would highly recommend BikesPlus!

We rented bicycles from Bikeplus for an independent trip throughout Italy for two weeks. Their service was exceptional! We had many questions and requests and we received all the information immediately for every question or request. The bicycles were delivered at the designated locations and times. The bicycles we received were personally fitted for each of us and were in excellent condition. Two weeks without any problems! All communication with the company was wonderful and we felt confident in their support. We received all possible equipment and the cost was completely reasonable. What a beautiful service!

We had done a lot of group cycle trips, road plus MTB ones and our own long-distance touring in various countries before discovering Bikes Plus Travel and their excellent self -guided trips. All have been quickly and efficiently organized by Sara and Fabio has done 3 of the bike handover briefings so these two feel almost like old friends.

And we’ve just learnt that BPT also rent bikes, including e-bikes, for long periods so that may mean we don’t have to pack up and lug our own touring bikes from Australia to Europe. Even better, they offer customized delivery and collection of these hired bikes through Italy and surrounding countries! A valuable and rare service for all keen touring cyclists.

The thing that impressed us is the quality of the rental bikes with BPT. We have used other companies’ bikes which have been sub-standard and spoilt the trip. BPT have a good range of rental bikes and whilst almost new, they have all been well maintained and of excellent quality.

BikesPlus Travel is professional and reliable, provides excellent trip notes with tourist info, very good routes with ride options on many days, handy (and accurate) restaurant referrals and the well-picked accommodation is varied in style with options for different price levels.
Highly recommended – we love these trips and can’t wait to get onto the next one or two. Easy and seamless to just fly in – and ride.

Early May 2025 Bikes Plus Travel organised a 10 day trip for 6 couples from Australia (total 12 people), all in our 60s. They did an absolute marvelous job. Many thanks to Sara. It was a customised variant of one of their routes. We started near the border of Italy/Austria/Switzerland in the Dolomites at Malles Italy. Spectacular scenery and route that was 95% on bike tracks. We finished at Garda on Lake Garda. We hired 9 ebikes and 3 normal. Bikes were great. Bikes Plus Travel looked after everthing, accommodation, bikes, route, bag pickup each morning and our bags were waiting for us in the afternoon on arrival at that nights accommodation.
HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

We rode Bologna to Parma in May 2925 and had a wonderful experience. The team took the time to fit our bikes so we were comfortable. The routes were beautiful and thoughtfully worked out. It rained a bit, but not hard when we were riding. We did a very special balsamic vinegar tour 1:1 with a small maker that was extremely interesting. Also did a tour at a larger Parmesan factory that was great. My favorite stop was Modena, with Parma a close second. Biking is such perfect way to get to know a new place. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough!

We took a 5 day self-guided tour with another couple from Bologna to Parma in early April. It was absolutely fantastic! (Gorgeous countryside, Parmigiano Reggiano & balsamic vinegar tours so interesting, food & activity recommendations spot on). Cycle Europe staff was incredibly organized, responsive, consistent and kind. The hotels they booked for us were wonderful - their locations with great walking access to the best of each city. The bikes were in perfect condition, GPS directions clear, and luggage transport was smooth. I highly recommend this company and would book them again in a heartbeat!

We run a small cycling touring company named Cycling Friends, LLC and offer high value low cost cycling vacations with fixed base or split base (no more than 2 hotels) 10 day stays primarily in Italy and France. We have used Cycle Europe exclusively for our Tuscany trip as far back as 2010. We have been very pleased with their bikes over the years and they have only gotten better. From the first customer contact until delivery and pick up without a doubt they have performed at a very high standard. Their customer service is impeccable and their strong point and it only gets better with age, like a fine Italian wine! They always 'get it right' and if they do have a problem they 'make it right'. We are very satisfied and will continue to use them far into the future. Count us as very happy customers! If you ever have a need for a rental bike while in Italy or elsewhere in Europe then consider using Cycle Europe. You’ll love their high standard of professional service.

Wow, what a great trip! It all started with the prompt response from Anna before we even booked. Anna also handle our special requests for additional days and pick up from the airport. This made our travel so much easier. Lucca was a great place to start since the walled city was fabulous. We’re glad we spent an extra day there. The routes were exactly what we hoped for since we wanted to ride in Tuscany and visit Pisa, Vinci and Sienna. The walled cities that we stopped at along the way were a great addition and a nice surprise. Our tour leaders did a great job finding coffee and lunch stops along the route each day. They also gave us a lot of information on the area and Italian culture. The route was a little harder than I thought and the gravel sections were sometimes challenging but all in all, it was a great trip.

Recently completed a cycle europe bike trip through the Dolomites of Italy through to Lake Garda finishing in Verona. Scenery and bike paths were amazing. Cycle Europe's planning made our trip seamless. The route was on our phone through "Ride withGPS" and easy to follow. Lead us right to our lovely hotels and luggage which was transferred for us. Bikes were of great quality and had no problems. Cycle Europe has a 24 hour help line in case. Have done other trips with them and highly recommend.

We did the Venice to Pisa Classic self guided cycle tour through Cycle Europe. It was fantastic. The pre-booking information and support from Cycle Europe was excellent and helped us to prepare for our trip.
The Route Mapping was perfect and we cycled 2/3rd of the trip on cycle paths and back roads. Each day was an adventure some flat, some climbs, short and long rides, some iconic cities like Venice, Florence and Lucca mixed with smaller villages. A real Italian experience!
We had to call on the The Cycle Europe Support Team a couple of times and they were great.
Thoroughly recommend this trip and Cycle Europe.

I had an excellent ride through Tuscany using the Cycle Europe team. The team had exceeded all expectations that I had for my first time riding with this company. John the set up guy for receiving my bike was super experienced and had some great final advice tips before I headed out on my own. Sara who is on point for everything else was amazing. I needed to connect with her a few times during the ride and she was quick to get back to me with super helpful advice. I socialized with an amazing couple who were riding with Cycle Europe from England, who had utilized Cycle Europe a number of times and they spoke extremely highly of Sara. We went with Cycle Europe self-guided trip to Dolomoties region- wonderful trip. Everything was well organized and clearly communicated. All the hotels that were booked were clean and in good central locations. Navigation instructions were clear and easy to follow. We rented bikes through Cycle Europe- the bikes were all well-maintained. Overall a fantastic trip...I would definitely recommend Cycle Europe and hope to be back for another ride soon.
