Having done many cycling tours I feel I can diplomatically offer information.
The company responds to inquiries promptly.
The equipment on a scale 1-5 was a 3. Good and reliable but with less power than other ebike experiences.
In designing our self guided tour we had a rider requesting 50 mile days. To accommodate ciclofree offered a generally meandering route with high elevation totals. We are very experienced riders, usually on road bikes, but opted for e-bikes given the heat projected and elevations per segment.
That was all fine but battery life was not considered.
Even riding in the off and eco modes 2 of the 4 riders ran out of battery having to struggle with the bike to its final destination.
They had people at the ready to their credit. But we arrived at the destination prior to committing them because we were hoping to do it on our own.
The issue was riding with the anxiety of runnng out of battery instead of enjoying the landscape and history. For long distances a better battery or a back up in the paneer is highly recommended.
First day required extra time to fix brake problem inherited from the previous user.
If riders understand what a brake problem sounds like they can report it but best to have a thorough overhaul by the company before each tour.
. Accommodations were very nice, clean, comfortable and appreciated.
Several had issues of not having the electrical capacity to charge the batteries. We were passing batteries between each other to the rooms with the ability to charge. I would suggest the hotel owners be required to report that their rooms or charging centers for the bikes be reliable. This can ruin the whole day or at the very least require more back up.
If one chooses shorter routes you’re good to go Ciclofree.

Davide is hugely knowledgable and passionate about cycling, the local Sicilian area, where he has grown up and studied, it’s history, geography culture and the best places to eat. Davide is the most amazing tour leader in the world. We’ve been on many tours and no one is quite like him. Caring, funny, organized, customer service oriented, full of wisdom about the area and cycling, patient, witty, a great listener and planner. The trip would have been far different were it not for him as he made the experience unforgettable. The restaurants he chose were fantastic. The driver, Sebi, was also wonderful, always smiling, caring and catering to what we needed included keeping us alive (sometimes behind us and sometimes by stopping traffic for us and always by helping to keep our bikes maintained).
The hotels were fine. Some of them downright beautiful. The agriturissimo was peaceful and a lovely local stay. The one thing I would change is the hotel the last night - tiny rooms, outside town, loud and uncomfortable. They’ve recently done upgrades but a lot of things were literally stuck together with bubblegum and shoestring.

Just been on a 7 day cycling tour of Southern Sicily. There were 16 of us on the trip. I have been on 5 cycling holidays and this was by far the best. Sicily itself is breathtakingly beautiful but what made the trip extra special was our tour guide Davide. He is a natural leader and goes out of his way to ensure each person is treated as an individual. His passion and knowledge of Sicily is incredible plus his sense of humour made us laugh every day. He went above and beyond to make this trip exceptional and worked tirelessly to ensure every day was perfectly planned. His choice of restaurants was always of the highest standard and his knowledge of each town we visited was outstanding. We have totally fallen in love with this part of Southern Sicily and will be back next year especially if Davide is still tour leader. What a wonderful time we had!
