Great experience with Velo Lake in Riva! The online booking system was straightforward, and they were really accommodating when I needed to amend my dates afterward. When I arrived, the team set up the bike to my fit right on collection and had all the exact pedals and accessories I’d requested ready to go. The Cube Litening Aero C:68X was in perfect working order and fantastic condition. The team onsite were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, a disappointing experience with Velolake.

Our rental was made through the Velolake Moniga del Garda location. As it is currently not possible to leave a Google review for the Moniga location, I am posting our experience here via Velolake’s main location/head office.

The e-bike we rented was provided without a kickstand, front light or rear light. In addition, the phone holder was already broken when we received the bike.

Due to an unexpected family emergency at home, we had to leave Lake Garda earlier than planned and therefore returned the bike early. We politely asked whether the unused rental days could perhaps be refunded or credited as a gesture of goodwill.

We fully understand that Velolake may have rental conditions that do not provide for refunds in such cases. What disappointed us was not primarily the refusal, but the way our request was handled. The response included comments such as “why should we do it?” and “what about if everybody behaves like you?”

Considering that we were dealing with a genuine family emergency, we found this response unnecessarily confrontational and lacking in customer service. A simple, polite explanation that a refund was not possible would have been completely acceptable.

Unfortunately, the combination of the bike’s equipment and, especially, the way our situation was handled means that we would not rent from Velolake again.

Dear Britta you maybe the only not able to review your rental location, but let's resume your feedback: 1 - you made an online order, where all extra where avaialble and you select all you purchased and rented, so if your phone holder was already broken why did you not inform us before? It seems more an excuse than a fact!. 2- E-fully ebike never got a stander, moreover it was not specified! 3- you received it in Moniga with no extra cost, even if those model are never available in that location, with no mountains around... 4- and last... WE OFFER YOU A VOUCHER + EXTRA DISCOUNT ON YOUR NEXT RENTAL but did not founder your expectation! Wish you a drive safe home .......
