My wife and I purchased a seven-day, self-guided bike trek from PCT, and we would recommend this company without reservation to anyone who is reasonably fit and looking for some adventure while exploring the wine regions of Puglia. Starting in Putignano, our route took us through the historic towns, countryside, vineyards and olive groves dotting the way between Massafra, Locorotundo, Ostuni, Manduria, Guagnano, and our final destination in Brindisi. We rode at our own pace as a couple (not as part of a larger group tour) which was perfect for us. Our bikes and related equipment (i.e., helmets, handlebar bags, phone holders, pannier, locks, etc.) were excellent, operating comfortably and dependably throughout the trip without any problems. The satellite phone PCT provided was a brilliant feature of their tour package, working almost flawlessly in guiding us safely and confidently through the scenic routes between our overnight accommodations. Only once did we encounter a problem with the tech when it failed to identify some major road construction that required us to improvise the final few kilometers of our journey into Brindisi (this involved some stress as we needed to figure out how to get across a busy multi-lane highway). For the most part, PCT's recommended routes were scenic and manageable for us. A few legs were hilly enough to require some time walking/pushing our bikes to navigate slopes, while other legs had some longer, more monotonous flat stretches. These are not complaints but rather what should be expected elements of any bike trek. The quality of our lodgings ranged from very good to outstanding, and the wine tastings and food experiences included in our fee either met or exceeded our expectations. PCT staff members were friendly, responsive and helpful. For example, Valentina saved our day by quickly reuniting us with an important item we had inadvertently left behind in a hotel lobby. Puglia (its landscape, people, wine, cuisine, culture) is a spectacularly beautiful region, with one exception: in the outskirts of a few rural communities, we were shocked to see garbage of all sorts discarded and accumulating along the roadside. Of course, this blight has nothing to do with PCT, and it should not discourage travelers from visiting Puglia, which is otherwise a remarkable place. But it is disappointing and sadly ironic that such magnificent countryside has been spoiled to some degree by litter, and something visitors should be braced to witness before arriving. Overall, PCT provided us with a positively memorable trip and excellent value for our money. Thank you very much, Puglia Cycle Tours!

Puglia Cycle Tours was a fabulous company to work with on our self-guided 6 day itinerary in Puglia. From the first correspondence to the last, Silvia was expedient and thoughtful in responding to all of my inquiries. They provided very detailed information on our itinerary and their partnering hotels were also as informative in welcoming us pre-arrival with details and restaurant recommendations. PCT accommodated a different hotel if we chose to stay someplace else and we’re flexible in adjusting to our needs. Antonio, who brought our bikes and gave us the briefing the day of our arrival, was so so nice and made sure that our bikes fitted us well before we started our journey. He even sang us the song Volare since Pulignano a Mare was one of the cities we biked through. The route was well planned and researched, biking on secondary scenic and safe roads with hardly any traffic. We are avid riders, the bikes they provided were high quality and comfortable. The gps system was great but lagged briefly at times depending on our location but for the most part, it was super easy to use.

Wonderful experience with Puglia Cycle Tours. We just completed a 13 day self guided tour and everything exceeded our expectations. The bikes were excellent, the GPS technology easy to use, the accommodations were great and the routing each day both scenic and challenging. We had the best experience with Puglia Cycle Tours. All the staff, esp. Alessandra in admin / booking were fabulous. We had to get help from a technician once and he came w/in 20 minutes and fixed the problem on the spot. We loved the route (very little traffic & beautiful) and the accommodations - great locations and very comfortable. All in all, a GREAT experience. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed ourselves on our self-guided tour. From the booking process with Silvia, through to the briefing from Alfreddo, and chats through the ride from Valentina, everything was great. The routes were varied, on quiet roads and really showed us the Puglian countryside. The accommodation was perfect and the hybrid bikes worked well. We brought our own saddles and handlebar grips and these were no problem. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Puglia Cycle Tours.

Divertida excursión con nuestro guía Mimmo… todo estuvo sincronizado. Nos recogieron, nos llevaron al lugar donde iniciaba el tour, nos guiaron por la campaña Italiana del Valle d’Itria y regresamos felicisimos por haber hecho esta excursión con esta agencia de profesionales… íbamos con una niña de 8 años y la atención fue total…!!! Sin duda repetiremos!!!
