Rented bikes in Lake Como through Annabella, and the experience was excellent. She arranged everything and together with Pietro they opened the warehouse for us. Both of them clearly care about the bikes and the service.

Price was €60 per bike all-in, which is on the higher side, but for the location in Lake Como, the quality of the bikes, and the overall service, it felt reasonable. We rented a Colnago V3 and a Giant e-bike, both in great condition.

Pietro made sure we were properly fitted and comfortable before we left. Friendly, relaxed, and professional.

The guided tour was unfortunately not available the day we visited, but the bikes and the routes were so good that we did not feel like we missed out.

Would happily rent from them again.

Hands down the best part of our entire trip. Pietro was the perfect guide for a 20 mile road bike. He picked us up where we were staying in Menaggio, took us by the most beautiful scenery, and was absolutely wonderful. We had the most fun! I couldn’t recommend Lake Como Cycling more.

Annabella was very responsive to me organising a last minute ride the night before, and then was so helpful in organising clothes for me to wear as I hadn't prepared in advanced. The bike was great and was fitted to me. And Pietro decided to come along just for the ride which I thought was very sweet. A beautiful way to experience Como. I was then taken back to the station on a motorino which I think is a fun experience in it's own right!

Great bikes and great service. I hired a bike for 5 days riding and these guys were fantastic. The communication from Pietro was very good, they dropped the bike for me at the hotel (in Varese!) and met me early in Como on drop off day. 1st class service and highly recommended.

We had the great fortune of making a multi-day cycling tour with Pietro. About six months in advance, we provided him target dates and other information in response to his insightful questions. He did the rest. Provided quality bikes, helmets, even nutrition. He planned the routes and offered hotel recommendations in Lake Como, Bormio, and Corvara so we could ride the rides we desired and the ones that Pietro suggested. He assessed our skills and made appropriate tweaks to original plans and added other routes we had not considered. He is a strong cyclist and great photographer, who captured terrific images our unforgettable Northern Italy cycling adventure. The only thing better than his personality and sense of humor was his safety-minded managing of our entire trip. We highly recommend Lake Como Cycling and will be returning sooner than expected to ride with Pietro again.

We had the most amazing rental and guided tour with Pietro and Annabella. They took the time to figure out our bike needs, and they were able to provide us with a couple of e-bikes to fit the occasion. If anything came up, they always offered a solution. We had lots of fun, and we will book with them again if back in the area.

Annabella and Pietro run a first class bike hire operation with quality customer service at its core. As a group of Australian cyclists visiting Como for a few days enroute to a Giro d’Italia trip, they sorted us out with high-end bikes, transfers from the airport and stunning ride routes. Nothing was too much trouble and we were always greeted with a smile.

My wife and I had an absolutely fantastic time with Lake Como Cycling during our visit last August. Pietro, our guide, was truly wonderful. He warmly welcomed us at the train station and led us on an incredible tour through the enchanting landscapes of Lake Como. Words can hardly capture the beauty of our experience—it was so extraordinary that we rearranged the end of our trip just to savor another ride with them before returning to the United States. Die zwei Tage Rennrad mit Annabella waren einfach wunderschön und einer meiner Highlights im Urlaub!
Annabella ist einfach wunderbar und eine ganz tolle, sehr erfahrende Guide-Fahrerin. Sie hatte die perfekten Touren für mich herausgearbeitet und ist komplett auf mich, meine Fahrfähigkeiten und Kondition eingegangen. Die Leihbikes sind auch perfekt in Schuss sind und von exzellenter Qualität (ich hatte ein DeRosa von feinster Qualität).

I hired a Colnago road bike from Pietro. The service was exemplary. Dropped the bike off at my hotel and picked it up again. (I was staying in Como). I extended the stay for a day with no fuss. Communication over email was very responsive. The bike was in excellent condition and the cycling in the area is fabulous.

Three of us hired bikes off Pietro at Lake Como Cycling for a self-guided tour around Lake Como and could not have asked for a more passionate, friendly, helpful and organised man to get us started the right way!!

We were picked up from the port, sorted for bikes, bottles and everything else we would need for the trip. The bikes were in fantastic condition and took us all the way around the lake in comfort and style!!!

I was 5 1/2 months pregnant at the time and he even catered to my fussy seat requirements!!!

He was so excited for our trip and wanted to make sure everything went smoothly for us.

We are so grateful and as a result of his kindness and efficiency, had the most wonderful experience!!!!

I cannot wait to get back to Lake Como and cycle with Pietro as we used to every year for the last 7 years pre-Covid-19. Pietro is the ultimate host and guide, and has a broad range of quality bikes available for rent. His knowledge of the roads and tours in the area is second to none. The scenery is spectacular and the riding can be as relaxed or as challenging as you want.

I met Pietro in 2011 when a group of us from Melbourne in Australia went on a Bicycle tour of a life time through the Northern Alps. We also visited parts Switzerland and Austria on our trip, climbed some famous mountains and over famous passes. These were magic rides through beautiful country side only to be match by the local food and friendliness of locals.
Since then we have done more rides with Pietro and even a L'Eroica with him. When I visited the Como with my wife I also hired a bike from Pietro for my stay. The area around Como was fantastic for our Holiday and I also had some brilliant rides. I will be back for a tour when I can.

With these types of experiences it’s all about the details. Pietro provides. When I emailed to inquire, he quickly responded and offered to pick me up from the Como train station coming from Milan. He provided a helmet and beautiful carbon frame bike for the day and provided all the tips of the trade for riding around the lake. He sold me some energy bars and euros and when he realized he didn’t have bike shoes in my size, he switched the bike to nice wide flat pedals. He accompanied me to the grocery store so I could purchase fruit and snacks for my ride and when I finished, he arranged for a cab to take me back to the station. He warned me about the most ‘rough’ parts of the ride (where there are steep inclines and highways) and let me know I can take ferries across the lake to avoid them, and when I decided to ride them anyways, he rewarded me by posting my Strava on his social media. I HIGHLY recommend Lake Como Cycling, whether you are a hardcore rider or novice, a group tour or individual ride, or whether you prefer the flatter coast or steep surrounding mountains. You will not be disappointed!

Very nice experience! Starting with great website and easy payment options. Secondly, great bikes provided-pietro has ebike for me and a great road bike for my husband. He adjusts the route according to the level and interests and is overall taking great care of you throughout the whole ride. Recommend for different levels-you can be super advanced, or get someone slower on ebike thus leveling the field. Pietro also has helmets, shoes and water. Overall we had a great experience
