We had dinner at Fattoria Madonna della Querce, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Tuscany.

Roberto gave us a personal tour of the family farm that he runs with his father-in-law. They have over 120 olive trees, a vineyard, a beautiful vegetable garden, 40 Cinta Senese pigs, and several adorable farm cats. As we walked through the property, Roberto picked fresh plums straight from the tree for us to taste—they were incredibly sweet and delicious! Everything they grow and raise is used to prepare meals for their guests as well as for their own family and friends. It was such an authentic, personal experience.

For dinner, it was just my husband and me, which made the evening feel even more special. We were seated on the terrace and began with an incredible assortment of cured meats, including salami, lardo, prosciutto, and capocollo, accompanied by Roberto’s homemade red and white wines, both of which were excellent. Knowing the grapes came from the vineyard we had just toured made the tasting even more memorable.

Next came homemade pappardelle with a rich Cinta Senese ragù—absolutely delicious. For our second course, we enjoyed tender pork with a creamy sauce, and we finished the meal with fresh plums, biscotti, and a wonderful dessert wine.

Come hungry! The portions are incredibly generous, and every bite was outstanding. Roberto and his wife are gracious, inviting hosts who truly make you feel like welcome. The property is immaculate, and the entire experience felt genuine, relaxing, and unforgettable.

If you’re looking for an authentic Tuscan farm-to-table experience, Fattoria Madonna della Querce is an absolute gem. We can’t recommend it highly enough.

We had such a great experience at Fattoria Madonna Della Querce. Everyone was so friendly and passionate about the farm and what they do! The wine, the food, the olive oil, the pigs! 10/10 🐷🫒🍷

We booked the Vespa tour through their website and highly recommend! We rode around for 3 hours in the Tuscan hills and visited 3 other towns!

Roberto welcomed us and showed us around the farm with great passion and kindness. It was a truly beautiful and authentic experience, surrounded by nature, olive trees and the peaceful atmosphere of the Tuscan countryside.
One of the most special moments was feeding the little pigs, which was absolutely wonderful for the children!
The lunch was superb: generous, delicious and made with products of exceptional quality. Everything tasted fresh, local and carefully prepared, from the food to the wine!!
Fattoria Madonna della Querce is not just a meal, but a full experience: warm hospitality, beautiful surroundings, animals, excellent food and a very genuine family atmosphere. A perfect place for families with children, but also for anyone looking for something authentic and special in Tuscany.

Great time here. We brought our 2&3 year old to run around, and they had the best time to feed the pigs. The lunch was delicious. Kids loved the pasta and the courses and wine for the adults was delicious. 10/10 would recommend.

Our family spent a lovely afternoon here. Roberto, the owner, was such a great host who took us through his olive grove and small vineyard before showing us the pigs. We learned all about the pigs and got to feed them which our son loved. We saw where the different cuts of meat were cured and Roberto answered all of our questions and was very knowledgeable. We sat down to lunch and were pleasantly surprised with how much food and wine there was. We were treated to a bottle of the wine Roberto makes from the grapes his grows, our son was given his own selection of meats and a penne in a tomato sauce. The adults were given a stew made with potatoes, bread, beans and cabbage and a platter of cured meats-prosciutto, salami, bacon, dried salami and other delicious cuts. We were then presented with Parmesan sourced locally from nearby Pienza (three different aged options). Lunch ended with cantucci-similar to biscotti-with a honey liquor for dipping. We left full, relaxed and happy and so glad we made this part of our trip to Tuscany!

Nice tour of the farm but the real show stopper was the lunch. Wonderful wine and olive oil—both from farm grapes and olive trees—along with several courses. We left with full bellies and new appreciation of farm to table. Don’t let a little rain stop you— lunch is undercover and most enjoyable! Fun, unique experience.
