We rented two vehicles from this shop on the afternoon of June 13, and unfortunately had a very bad and potentially dangerous experience.

One of the vehicles had serious braking issues. We found that we had to use both the front and rear brakes together to stop. When we arrived at our first destination, we were riding on a gravel road and, even with both brakes applied, the vehicle did not stop properly. My friend fell and was injured on the chin, elbow, and knee.

We returned to the shop right away. The staff could clearly see my friend's injuries. However, after briefly checking the brakes, they simply told us there was nothing wrong with the vehicle.

Instead of taking our safety concerns and the accident seriously, the discussion quickly became about scratches on the vehicle. They demanded €400 from us.

While we were trying to explain what had happened, they called their boss. We felt there was very little concern about the injured person or about investigating why the vehicle had failed to stop properly. The message was basically that there was nothing more to discuss and that we had to pay €400 before we could leave.

Because we were staying far away that night and had no realistic option to continue arguing there, we paid the €400 and left.

We were told that documentation or details of the repair costs would be sent to us afterward. We have never received them.

After returning home, my friend had to visit the doctor several times because of the injuries from the accident, and the wounds have only recently healed.

What upset us most was not simply having to pay €400. It was the way a potentially serious safety issue was handled. We reported a braking problem immediately after an accident in which someone was visibly injured, yet our concern was dismissed after a very brief check, while the damage charge was pursued immediately.
This was our personal experience, and I am sharing it so that other customers can make their own informed decision. If you rent a vehicle here, I strongly recommend checking and testing both the front and rear brakes very carefully before leaving the shop.

8/6 Update-Response to the owner's reply:
We rented a Vespa 125. We’ve both been riding scooters and motorcycles for over 20 years, so we know very well how a properly functioning brake should feel.

Now we understand that this is simply how you choose to handle situations like this. We’re sharing our experience so that other customers can be aware of how the whole situation was handled.

We paid the repair fee as requested, but we never received the receipt or repair documentation that was promised to us.

We sincerely hope everyone who rents from here stays safe.

Good morning and thank you for your valuable review.
First, could you please write what vehicle you were driving? Why didn't you mention it? Vintage Vespa? Vespa scooter? E-bike?
Our vehicles are inspected daily by our in-house workshop, and no vehicles leave our shop without braking. The truth is probably that you didn't know how to drive, and while driving on a dirt road, you overused the front brake and crashed. I understand your frustration at having to pay for the damage, but it's NORMAL to pay for damage to the vehicle. You signed a contract before starting the rental and knew the rules.
If, as you say, the vehicle wasn't braking, why didn't you say so right away? I'll answer you... because it's not true!

Instead of lying out of frustration, admit your mistakes, and you'll look better.
